Mesotherapy is a non-surgical treatment that facilitates the infusion of regenerative and rejuvenating substances such as essential amino acids, vitamins, natural or homeopathic extracts, enzymes, etc. in the skin. These substances act on the epidermis, dermis and subcutaneous tissue. The individualized cocktail can be either injected with thin needles or administered by iontophoresis. If a suitable cocktail is selected for every patient and the procedure is repetead for several weeks, a dramatic improvement in moderate or severe wrinkles and creases can be achieved.
The method is indicated for wrinkles, dull and dry skin, localized refractory fat deposits, mild or moderate cellulite or as a “pre-event” single treatment.
In general, the procedure is simple, risk-free and totally painless in the no-needle technique. However, allergic reactions to some of the substances used may occur – which is why it is necessary to inform your doctor about your history prior to treatment. Ecchymosis, erythema or local edema can also be noted. All of these side effects are reversible and of short duration.
