A”Brazilian Ascension” is a surgical procedure that enlarges and / or shapes the buttocks with fat for a more pronounced and bulky appearance. The procedure is particularly effective when the skin has an “orange peel” appearance or when the buttocks are flat or undersized. In many cases, Brazilian lifting is done in conjunction with other body contouring procedures such as liposuction, abdominoplasty, postnatal body remodeling or thigh lift.
Do you have a correct surgical indication?
If you feel your buttocks are flat or in disharmony with the contours of the rest of the body, or if the skin in that area is excessively lax and flaccid, and exercise and diet have failed to fix the problem, you can be a good candidate for a Brazilian buttock lift.
Dr. Sinescu and our medical staff are dedicated to helping get the body you want in a safe and proper way. Therefore, during your first appointment with our staff, before planning your surgery, the buttocks and the upper thigh region will be evaluated and we shall discuss your goals and expectations. We’ll review the various options suitable for you. You will be given a detailed explanation of the procedure, steps to be followed before and after surgery, potential risks and complications, costs and payment methods. We will answer all your questions. We’ll ask for your medical history, information on cigarette and alcohol consumption, and a list of all the medicines you use, including the over the counter ones.
The intervention will take place in one of the ultramodern clinics where our doctors work. We use general anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation depending on the magnitude of the procedure. The operation lasts between 1 and 5 hours. In most cases, you will stay in hospital for no more than 2 nights, for an easy recovery.
The incision, which can be extensive, is located at the bottom of the buttocks and is hidden in the natural creases, so the resulting scar will not prevent you from wearing a bathing suit.
We extract fat from another area of the body, such as the abdomen or thighs, through liposuction, and then we purify it and inject it into the buttocks. The surgeon shapes the fat to create a voluptuous and natural outline and can also eliminate any excess skin. In some cases, buttock implants are added for optimal results. The incisions are sutured, a gauze dressing is applied and a compression suit is worn.

What are the possible side effects or risks?
Any surgery has a degree of risk, and body surgery is no exception. During the first consultation, Dr. Sinescu will evaluate your individual risk level, all potential problems will be discussed and we will establish together if you have a strong indication for Brazilian buttock lift. Strict adherence to all pre- and postoperative medical recommendations is crucial to reducing any danger. We will always be at your side to achieve a satisfactory and safe end result.
The most common complications include:
– fat embolism
– postoperative bleeding and hematoma
– skin dehiscence
– modified local sensibility
– hypertrophic scarring
How long do the results last?
The skin is firmer and more tonic and the buttocks have a pronounced, “appetizing” shape. The results generally last between 5-10 years, however high fluctuations in weight or pregnancy will affect the region aesthetically.
