Many of our patients who are mothers want a personal transformation to reduce unwanted physical changes occurring after pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding. Regardless of age, they share a common goal: to regain the trust in their bodies.
Do you need this procedure?
Maternity is an obvious prerequisite, but the procedure – combining aesthetic breast surgery with body contouring – can also benefit women who were never pregnant. This is because many of the changes observed after pregnancy, such as loss of breast volume and flaccid abdomen, can also occur with the passage of years. Such a procedure remodels and restores the volume of the breasts and flattens the tummy. A good candidate has a good overall health, but she is unhappy with her body. Many of our patients want to feel more comfortable when wearing tight clothes or at the beach.
Any discussion on body aesthetic is very personal. Our doctors strive to help patients feel relaxed during the consultation. Establishing a patient-to-surgeon relationship based on trust and honesty is imperative to deliver results that meet and even exceed our patients’ expectations.
During the consultation, Dr. Sinescu tries to understand your goals and conducts an in-depth physical exam. This is the right time to ask questions about the surgery itself. We will discuss what you can expect from this surgery and we’ll review all the options. You will be given a detailed explanation of the procedure, steps to be followed before and after surgery, potential risks and complications, costs and payment methods. We will answer all your questions. We’ll ask for medical history, information on cigarette and alcohol consumption and a list of all the medicines you use, including the over the counter ones.
Remodeling procedures for mothers
Dr. Sinescu creates a personalized surgical plan based on the insights you provide during the consultation and physical examination. The most common interventions include breast augmentation (with or without a breast lift), miniabdominoplasty and liposuction. Many patients also require surgical or non-surgical vaginal rejuvenation procedures.
Recovery and results
Each patient in our practice receives detailed postoperative instructions to help promote a rapid healing process and reduce the risk of complications. One of the benefits of combining procedures is concomitant recovery after interventions. For most patients, the abdomen requires the most time to heal. It is important to follow the doctors’ instructions to avoid lifting any weight, including small children, during this period. Depending on the extent of surgery, recovery usually takes 4 to 6 weeks. Edema and ecchymosis are gradually solved during this time, and postoperative results are slowly becoming visible. However, it may take several months before the final results are fully settled.
Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost?
As with all aesthetic surgery procedures, costs are difficult to determine before a thorough consultation. The price is influenced by various factors, including the combination of procedures involved, the magnitude of each procedure and the type of implants used (if you have breast augmentation). We offer a specific price level at the end of the first consultation.
Are there any other treatments I could benefit from?
Yes. Although most patients demand abdominoplasty and breast augmentation, there are other areas of the body that can be remodeled. For women who want to change their appearance when wearing shorts or swimsuits, a buttock lift can increase firmness and volume. Vaginal rejuvenation is also a common requirement.
Should I have surgery if I intend to have more children?
It is not a good idea to resort to surgery in this situation. A pregnancy and a birth will invalidate all the results. There are alternative treatments, including mini-liposuction, that can be used to reduce fat in target areas, even when planning to have more children.
